Anyone know about the new combo set meal from KFC? For me, I wouldn’t know about it if not because of my friends who wanna go there for supper last night. From far, can see the banner stating “Kita Mesti Makan Nasi!” (We Must Have Rice) lol.
Frankly speaking… the picture doesn’t attract my interest to try it at all… hahahah. Only one of us ordered it… “Try maa” he said. I choose to go for my usual Zinger meal :p
As we unfold the lid covering the rice, I yelled in heart “Yay, lucky I didn’t order this!” Opss… The so called flavoured rice, came with bits of raisins and came with coleslaw (no pic), 2 pieces of chicken (OR or HS) and gravy (the peppery gravy from whipped potato lor).
Em… looks worse after the gravy is added on it. We each person try a small scoop of the rice and agreed that it’ll be a history soon LoL. The rice is not soggy but stick together in lumps and the gravy… is ok but I personally don’t think it goes well with the rice. Chicken – normal lor, nothing special about it. The quality in KFC seems dropped below average… except for cheezy wedges. Even the chicken in my Zinger is not spicy at all and too dry. Better go for McD’s quarter pounder… haha..
If I’m not mistaken, Precious Pea blogged about her experience on having dinner alone last Wednesday (Sigh..Eating Alone…Sigh!). After I read her blog, I told myself, I must have BBQ Pork Rice for my lunch tomorrow, and Ta-Da..!
So, I really had this on Thursday… BBQ Pork with my favourite acar! I asked the uncle to give me the lean part as I dislike the fatty part. Located behind my office, this stall serves yummy roast pork, BBQ pork, chicken rice etc with veggies as side dishes. Acar is one of my favourite dish, with plenty of grounded peanut chunks.
Well, this my lunch on Tuesday. 2 piece of pork chops rice with veggie. Ah.. don’t say I’m “wai sik” for having 2 piece la cos their pork chops really are good! Should have snap the photo of the shop. Btw, the dark area are not over-fried, it’s the dark soy sauce “effect”.
Last week, my boss’ wife brought a box of chocolates to office and ask us to try it. Apparently, it’s a gift from her friend or relative who’re just back from Japan. The brand is called Royce, as you can see here:
There’s no picture on the box, just words. I guess many tourists wouldn’t know it is chocolate at the supermarkets (in Japan).
When you open it, there’s a layer of transparent plastic with a spatula (correct me if I’m wrong).
Lift the plastic cover to reveal the chocolate cubes below! Only 7 pieces left here (hehe).
For your information, the chocolates are coated with a layer of semi-sweet chocolate powder. That’s where the spatula comes in handy, to pick the chocolate without spoiling the surface. When you put it in your mouth, you could feel the powder melting on your tongue~~ ^^ As you slowly twist and turn it, a creamy chocolatey taste starts to flow, makes you wanna close your eyes and savour the experience~!
