One who stayed in KL for some time must have known where the heck is Jalan Alor is, I reckon. Situated at the heart of Bukit Bintang area (behind Giordano boutique), this particular street is famous for its hawker food and um… pirated DVDs (chuckles), and the stuff you can get from here are far more extensive than Ipoh’s Tong Sui Kai.
Three of my Ipohan fellow friends came to KL for seminar last month and asked me out for dinner here. We were basically spoiled for choice as we walked passed Wong Ah Wah’s grilled chicken wings to the other end of the street and still couldn’t decide what to eat. Somehow, after several taunts from the stall ‘operator’, plus some shrieking sounds emitting from our tummies, we found ourselves seated in front of Lim Kee.
Last but not least, we also had the Fried Hokkien Noodle. In Ipoh, we called it Tai Lok Meen (Thick Noodles). Lucky for us, there’s no trace of alkaline smell detected. One good thing about Hokkien Noodle in KL is…. the bits of lards! (big fan of lard… ops) Okay, I don’t take that often, maybe just once in a fortnight.
Will definitely come back to feast my tastebuds on other mouth-watering delicacies such as the chicken wings.
