Food & Tea Hong Kong @ Taman Segar, Cheras

Came to visit this establishment not long after I moved to Cheras with another two friends and it was already around midnight! Apparently, they seem to be open till 1am.

Everything are in yellow colour; the walls, ceiling, lighting. Another strange thing is there’s only waiter, didn’t notice there’s any waitress around. And how come they have a branch in Ipoh but I don’t know about it huh??

My Fizzy Lemon Ribena (RM 3.80) which turns out ok. I do expect it to be a bit sourer though.

My picture doesn’t look appetising, so does the noodle. Stir-fried Nissin Noodle with Chicken and Mushroom (RM 7.30) which is overly salty! Yucks. And the portion is darn small too. *shook heads*

My Roasted Honey Spare Ribs with Rice (RM 7.90). Something must be wrong with me that night to order this as I usually don’t go for spare ribs. The ribs were not very nice as I can’t taste any honey and the rice was kinda dry too.

Another Nissin Noodle with Hot & Spicy Soup (RM 5.90). The spicy soup (I feel that it’s more like curry) is not thick enough for my liking but the small pieces of pork were very tender. Feels a bit overpriced.

Tortoise Jelly (RM 1.50). No comment on this as I didn’t try it but I can see that they don’t like it.

  1. Hehe, I didn’t know there’s a branch in Ipoh too. The food is that bad huh? Probably it’s so bad that they had to close down, because we Ipoh people only go for good food! Haha.

Seriously, the noodles looks (looks only) nice and curly. lol

  2. WMW: The menu seems good though. 😛

Amanda: I’ve no idea where is their branch in Ipoh. Haha, Ipohans are sure picky when it comes to food.

    LotsOfCravings: You’re welcome. *isk isk*

Tonixe: Seriously, Kim Gary’s nice? I patronised them twice but their food were just mediocre.

Jackson: Sad thing, isn’t it? 😦

  3. huh? ipoh branch in Jusco? impossible for me if i don’t know abt it! i’m jusco kaki mar…. maybe newly open, the most possible location maybe in front of MovenPeak in Jusco!

  4. Paul: *Wave hands vigorously* Hi, so nice of you to drop by. 😉

RawPotato: Yep… some people don’t know the name of the new shop, so they just say MovenPeak. It’s called Bamboo House now.

  5. all hongkee’s restaurant are sux… u guys should go to hong kong…. to taste the real hong kong milk tea…. the original ones are always da best…

  6. I agreed with the bad comments, the food needs improvement. BUT the service staff attitude was VERY VERY BAD. They will rush you for ordering food even though you have yet to decide what you want to eat or order from the menu. WORST! THEY WILL ASKED YOU TO PAY THE BILL IN THE MIDDLE OF YOU MEAL!!!!! RUSH TO GO BACK?
