3. 5.30pm – Italian Affair

From Spanish food, we hop to Opus Bistro for some romantic Italian style dining. The word “Opus” means opuses or opera, which also indicates an artistic work.

Even their food were an art work themselves! The mini Carbonara Pasta (spaghetti with smoked beef in cheesy, creamy white sauce and a touch of black pepper) looked too cute to be eaten. Anyway, we love it as it’s not overly creamy like some pasta you could find at the other cafés outside. Jackson and Lianne requested for a substitue version for the beef as they can’t take beef and the waiter immediately change for them without hesitation. The chef replace their beef with smoked duck breast – lovely.

We were then presented with their all time favourite dish, Roasted Cod Fish with Lemon Capers Sauce. The fish fillet was firm and fresh, slightly crispy at the outside but juicy at the inside. The sauce however, tastes rather similar like the usual tartar sauce.

Some white wine to accompany our fine meal.

Last but not least, a traditional Italian aperitif, the Lemoncello. I’m not really a drinker so I found that this is albeit too strong for me.

4. 6.00pm – Sommelier’s Tour of Wine Cellar

We hopped over to Wine Cellar for a short, brief tour. Wine Cellar in fact, is a wine connoisseur who supplied the wines to the restaurants in Jalan Bangkung such as Cava and Opus, as well as to other places too. And they have just expanded to a newly furnished area upstairs, perfect to spend a cosy little evening with colleagues or friends.
I will say that the collection of wines here are much extensive than Denise.

5. 6.30pm – La Dolce Vita! The Attic and Just Heavenly

Finally, our last stop for the day. Some of us came here before during the floggers’ gathering last April. The Attic – KL’s only Gallery Bar Lounge and also a non-smoking bar (yay!)

Their signature drink which resembles the mini tiramisu in the cup. I didn’t try it as I’m starting to get “heat up” after the wines at Opus and Sangria at Cava. I’m not a good drinker anyway.

And new range of desserts from Just Heavenly! (clockwise from top right) Chilled Lemon Cheesecake, Raspberry Madeira and Mango Upside Down. We were so in love with them especially the Mango Upside Down which came with caramelised mango chunks. One word. Heaven.
